Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 Commission

About the Role:

A day in the life: Our Commercial Roofing Solutions Consultant is a dynamic professional who possesses great talents in providing assistance to clients. To be successful in this dual role, you'll need sales expertise and estimation flair. The ideal applicant is someone who can handle the pressure of a high-pressure atmosphere and rise to the challenge of coordinating sales tactics with accurate project cost estimation. Proficiency or expertise in the roof coating industry would be considered an additional benefit.

On a given day, as a Commercial Roofing Solutions Consultant, you will: 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and generate new business opportunities in the roof coating industry.
  • Create and implement sales strategies that increase revenue and generate leads.
  • Effectively manage sales correspondence, perform follow-up on leads, and implement a variety of marketing tactics in order to forge relationships with potential customers and contractors. Through the management and maintenance of our internal sales platform.
  • Perform on-site assessments in order to assess the specifications of the project and deliver timely, precise price estimates.
  • Analyze project scopes, blueprints, and other relevant documents to determine materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Using internal estimating tools, generate and present detailed proposals that ensure a complete commitment to project specifications and client expectations.
  • Throughout the duration of the project, maintain open channels of communication with clients and address any concerns or requests for modifications as required. To ensure a positive client experience and relationship. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that projects are being executed on time, smoothly, and according to the scope submitted. 
  • In order to assess strategies and optimize sales, it is vital to remain informed of market opportunities, competitor activities, and industry trends.
  • Verify that the project's quality satisfies our company's standards and that the client does not have any concerns or inquiries. It is imperative that the project close-out procedure be fully executed and that communication with the client be maintained.
  • Assess job profitability and adjust estimates as needed to reflect proper gross margins.
  • Adhere to company work safety policies. 
  • Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned. 

Schedule & Travel:

This is a full-time position with day shift hours, Monday through Friday. The department would offer a schedule that is flexible. On occasion, the position might require overnight travel for client meetings or site assessments.

The qualified candidate we seek is a Commercial Roofing Solutions Consultant with these QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, specifically in the roof/roof coating field, either in estimating, sales, material sales, and/or installation.
  • A current, valid driver's license and auto insurance. Demonstrating a readiness to undertake project oversight, site visits, and client meetings as required (occasional overnight travel is a requirement).
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with core computer skills, preferably with the ability to use email, CRM, and apps from Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
  • Effectively managed and implemented 2-3 projects simultaneously, ensuring that all established goals were met within the designated timeframes.
  • Proven experience in customer service positions for a minimum of 1 to 2 years, with an emphasis on effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities, along with the capacity to prioritize tasks. 
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

This requires addressing client concerns, comprehending their requirements, and providing outstanding service throughout the duration of the relationship. 
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving Skills: In a dynamic, rapidly evolving setting, success hinges on the Commercial Roofing Solutions Consultant’s capacity to exhibit flexibility and competence. This entails the capacity to effectively adapt to evolving market dynamics, client demands, and project specifications.
  • Quality Assurance: A meticulous focus on detail is essential in order to guarantee that estimates are accurate and in accordance with the expectations of the client. Strong analytic abilities are required of the Commercial Roofing Solutions Consultant in order to assess risks, evaluate project complexities, and identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Math Skills: The ability to apply mathematical concepts and techniques to accurately estimate sales figures, forecast trends, and analyze data to make informed decisions in sales planning and strategy.
  • Professionalism: Upholds a professional demeanor, exhibiting reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
